While most of the attention has been on our (Woodford Racing) older horses (Flightline, First Captain, etc.) lately, our two year old colts will start debuting over the next several months. There is nothing more exciting than 2 year old thoroughbreds beginning their careers and not knowing what the future holds!
Some of the 2 year olds that start in 2022, will race at the conclusion of Belmont’s Spring Meet (April – July), Saratoga’s Summer Meet (July – September) or Del Mar’s Summer Meet (July – September). The remainder will target the Belmont Fall (September – October) and Santa Anita Fall (September – November) Meets.
Eleven of the twelve have been named and all have been assigned trainers. One of the twelve will begin his career in the United Kingdom which adds international appeal.
